Micro-Start Harness Kit
THIS PRODUCT WILL NOT WORK WITH THE MICROSTART XP-10.
The MICRO-START Harness Kit was made so that a rider or driver can easily jump start their car or motorcycle using the MICRO-START XP-1, XP-3, and XP-5 without the need for the clamps, or removing the seat on your motorcycle. It is a 12" (300mm) harness that connects directly to the battery while the other end can plug directly into the MICRO-START unit. It adds convenience and saves time if the situation arises when you have to jump-start your vehicle. Simply connnect the MICRO-START directly to this harness and jump-start your vehicle. Also included in the kit is an adapter that converts the Micro-Start Harness (BLUE CONNECTOR) down to an SAE Connector (Battery Tender type) so you can easily hook up your battery charger and eliminate the standard SAE harness you might have.
A standard Battery Tender type Harness WILL NOT handle jump-starting: the wire gauge is much to thin and it will melt the wires.
PLEASE NOTE: THE MICRO-START IS FOR JUMP-STARTING ONLY THROUGH THE JUMP START PORT!!!! NEVER LEAVE THE MICRO-START CONNECTED TO YOUR VEHICLE'S BATTERY OR USE IN PLACE OF YOUR REGULAR BATTERY!!! DO NOT TRY TO CHARGE THE MICRO-START DIRECTLY FROM YOUR BATTERY THROUGH THE JUMP START PORT. SEVERE DAMAGE CAN RESULT!
- 1pc MICRO-START Harness (12" long)
- 1pc MICRO-START to SAE Reducer (allows for hooking up standard Battery Tender (SAE) type charger to MICRO-START harness.

I really like the useful adapter for accessories. Its beyond convenient. I carry my XP-1 almost everywhere and its nice to not carry the clamps.
the only shange I would have is the length of the wire. the way my bike seat is I cant route the wire to anywhere than straight back to storage. but the wire is too short.
Does what it's supposed to do

Wires needs to be longer to accommodate more vehicles.

Excellent fit for Yamaha Super Tenere. For my install the length was perfect allowing attachment of micro-start battery without removing side panel. When not in use is hidden behind panel in a self made wire loom. There is just enough room for my finger to pop it out of loom and return easily without panel removal. My only suggestion would be a rubber plug cover.
PERFECT for quick plug & RUN !!!!

I attached this to the battery of my motorcycle for Quick Plug & Run, and it is AWESOME! My motorcycle's battery has been quirky as of late, but by having the harness, it was a simple plug & run from the Micro Start XP 3. VERY handy! No need to put the battery clamps on the battery. ONLY flaw is I wish the harness cable was around 2 too 3 inches longer in length. Then I could have installed it perfectly on my bike, so I had to do a different config to it, and it came out good. Aside from that, VERY handy!

I have Harley with a very loud stereo system. Sometimes ill let it play when were hanging out and the bike wont start, so I purchased the micro start px3. I have used it twice already and my bike started up without hesitation.Easy to use and store, great product.
Works fine but........

The idea behind this is sound but it simply too short to use it with the adapter and connect to my Bettery Tender. The leads are only long enough to make it from the battery terminals to the frame rail of the bike. I would need to remove the seat every time I want to connect the Tender. It would be hlpfull if they produced longer leads or an extension of some sort.
